(Above: Aunt Janet and Uncle Howard. Click on image to enlarge.....and these are LARGE photos meant for family members to save to their computers as printable files.)

When Steve and I visited my parents in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania, we found a box with old family photos in it. It is only one of several boxes that belonged to Grandma Baker. Many of the photos came from her mother, "Mom". We asked to take just the one box back to Columbia, South Carolina....to scan the images and create word documents for each photos so that additional information can easily be added.

(Above: I think this is my Mom and some guy at Disneyland. They went for the Rose Bowl, January 1958. Ohio State was playing and Mom was a student. They went by train. Click on image to enlarge.)

(Above: This is a hand-tinted sepia toned photograph of my mom and her brother, my uncle Larry. Click on image to enlarge.)

(Above: This is another hand tinted, sepia toned photograph of Linda and Larry. Click on image to enlarge.)

(Above: This is Aunt Janet. Click on image to enlarge.)

(Above: Erica and Sonya. The box is full of a seemingly random assortment of images. One photo captures a baby in the first decade of the twentieth century, the next is a group of men during World War II, and then the third is like this one....my younger sisters! This is was taken somewhere around1969. Click on image to enlarge.)

(Above: Max Emil Oswald, aka "Pop". This is one of the photos that looks much, much better after a few minor digital adjustments with Photoshop. The image was restored to a darker resolution with higher contrast. Click on image to enlarge.)

(Above: This is my Grandpa Baker....as a very, very young man! Connel Ashmore Baker, Jr. Click on image to enlarge.)

(Above: This is another, earlier photo of "Pop", Max Oswald. The photo must date to the 1880s or 90s. It appears to have been taken with a pin hole camera. Click on image to enlarge.)

(Above: Here's another of Connel Baker, Jr. as a baby! I think the date must have been 1918 or even 1917. Click on image to enlarge.)

There are dozens of other photos....too many to post and several are unidentified. Still, I chatted with my sister Wanda through an Internet instant messenger program earlier today. I promised to share some of the picture as soon as possible....so here's the tip of the iceberg!
